Quolle ("we", "us", "our") operates a transactional email API for businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using Quolle, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Data We Collect

We collect three categories of data:

• Account data — name, email address, company name, and billing information provided by account holders when registering or managing their account.
• Email data processed on your behalf — recipient email addresses, message content, and sending metadata (delivery status, bounce events, complaint events, open events, and click events) for emails you send through the Service.
• Technical data — IP addresses, browser type, API request logs, and usage data collected automatically when you interact with the Service.

3. How We Use Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Process and deliver email on your behalf
• Monitor deliverability, reputation, and sending patterns
• Detect and prevent abuse, spam, and policy violations
• Generate invoices and process billing
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service

4. Data Processing on Behalf of Customers

When you send email through Quolle, you are the data controller for your recipients' personal data (including their email addresses and any information contained in message content). Quolle acts as a data processor on your behalf. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis to send to each recipient and for complying with applicable data protection laws, including the Nigerian Data Protection Act (NDPA) and any laws in your recipients' jurisdictions.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only as necessary to provide the Service, including with third-party infrastructure providers. Email delivery is processed through cloud infrastructure providers (including Amazon Web Services). These providers process data only as directed by us and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Email sending logs and delivery events are retained for a period sufficient to provide deliverability reporting and are then deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@quolle.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
